Terms of Use

The purpose of the Snoopums message boards is to allow it members to share information about great deals and hard to find items they may be looking for OR have found on the internet. Snoopums message boards are regulated by the rules in these Terms of Use. Participating in a message board is subject to your agreement to all of the rules. Snoopums may revise these terms at any time. If you continue to participate in a message board after changes are made to these Terms of Use, it will mean that you accept those changes.

Message Board Content
The information and opinions expressed by Message board members are not necessarily those of the Snoopums, its parent company or Snoopums staff and Snoopums make no representations or warranties regarding such entries. When you voluntarily disclose personal information in a Message board, you must be aware that this information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other people. You shall not submit to a Message board any content which:

libels, defames, invades privacy, or is obscene, pornographic, abusive, or threatening

infringes any intellectual property, copyright, trademark or other right of any person or entity
falsifies or deletes author attributions, legal notices or other proprietary designations
knowingly contains viruses, corrupted files, or other materials that may cause damage to another's computer
advertises or otherwise solicits funds or sales of goods or services
contains chain letters/junk mail/other spam
encourages criminal activity that is illegal or breaks current laws
gains unauthorized access to other computer systems
interferes with other persons use or enjoyment of the Message board
interferes with other Web Sites

When an SNOOPUMS Message board rule is broken you will be:

Ejected from boards: You will not receive a warning. If any of the above rules are broken, you may be immediately ejected from all SNOOPUMS Message boards.
Banned: the user will be permanently banned from posting on any SNOOPUMS Message board.
Reported: the user will be reported to their ISP, company, or institution. Transcripts representing offensive conduct will be supplied.

By posting any content in a Message board, you automatically agree to indemnify Snoopums, its parent company, all other Message board members, and any other person or entity affiliated with the Message board, from and against any and all third party claims, demands, liabilities, costs or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from your breach of these posting restrictions. Unless materials are specifically restricted as noted in the content, by posting on a Message board any content authored or owned by you, you automatically

(a) grant to all other Message board members, and any other person or entity affiliated with the Message board, a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable and unrestricted worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, and distribute the posted content for the limited purposes of discussion and commentary

(b) grant to Snoopums and its parent company a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable and unrestricted worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and distribute the posted content or incorporate the posted content into any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed, and

Compliance with Intellectual Property and Defamation Laws

It is the sole responsibility of each Message board participant to ensure that the materials she or he posts to a Message board do not infringe or violate the intellectual property rights, publicity, privacy or other legal rights of others. Your postings will not be reviewed, screened or approved for such violations by Snoopums or its parent company. Snoopums and its parent company cannot advise Message board members with respect to compliance with intellectual property and other laws. However, we ask you to be aware of the following -- it is a commonly held but very mistaken belief that materials posted on the Internet are automatically in the public domain. This is not correct. Except for official government documents, virtually all works of original authorship are protected by copyright regardless of the manner of publication or distribution, including online. Except under very limited circumstances constituting "fair use," you must get the copyright owner's permission before reproducing all or part of a copyrighted work.

Personal Information
It is necessary to the functioning of a Message board to collect email addresses from Message board members. All such information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data. We do not sell or otherwise disclose such information outside the organization.
Some Message boards have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. However, we cannot guarantee that the information will not be lost, misused or altered, and Snoopums and its parent company shall not be responsible for any harm that you or any person may suffer as the result of a breach of security.

Outside Links
Snoopums and its parent company cannot review links that may be embedded in Message board messages and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any linked materials, whether or not they are affiliated with Snoopums or its parent company.

Limitations on Snoopums' Liability
Your participation in a Message board is at your own risk. The posted materials could include misinformation, technical inaccuracies or other errors. They are provided to you "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Snoopums and its parent company do not warrant that the functioning of a Message board will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that a Message board or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. Snoopums and its parent company do not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials on a Message board in terms of their correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. You (and not Snoopums or its parent company) assume the entire cost of all necessary costs of correcting any malfunctions or errors to your property.

Message board members are advised that:

Members hold all responsibility for what they experience in message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff are not responsible for what members say and hear in message boards.
Once a person enters a Message board, they are responsible for any and all interactions that take place. Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff hold no responsibility for the actions, outcomes, or words, of those in message boards.
Snoopums and its parent company cannot guarantee that there will not be persons within message boards who use offensive language.
Parents hold all responsibility for monitoring the activities of children and minors who may join in message boards. Snoopums and its parent company are not responsible for any and all actions or results of children and minors who enter message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff are not responsible for any results coming from information received or people met in message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff cannot guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, originality, of anything heard or said within message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff holds no responsibility for information received and given within message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff are not responsible for vulgar language heard within message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff are not responsible for attacks on another person's race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or gender.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff hold no responsibility for harassment within message boards.
Snoopums, its parent company and Snoopums staff are not responsible for those who try to promote products or businesses within message boards.
Those who accept any and all information received within message boards as fact hold responsibility for any and all outcomes of taking and acting on this information.

General Provisions
All Message boards are set up in Canada. Snoopums and its parent company do not warrant or represent that Message board participation is appropriate or available in other locations. If you choose to participate from other locations, you do so at your own initiative and you are responsible for complying with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. You may not download or otherwise export or re-export software from the Message board in violation of Canadian export controls.
Snoopums and its parent company reserve the right to remove for any reason posted materials from a Message board, and the right to deny in its sole discretion any user access to a Message board, without notice. This is the entire agreement between us relating to your participation in a Message board. These terms may not be modified by you, in writing or otherwise.
